Journeys through time and memory, through 35 mm slides found in different parts of the world. Orphaned photographs of unknown people are interwoven with fragments of film salvaged from the rubbish bins of projection booths in old cinemas. The soundscape includes recordings on magnetic tape, many of them found, as well as radio waves, concrete and synthetic noises produced live, like Foley for a film or a spiritual séance.

Cesário Alves
Multidisciplinary artist and lecturer. He completed his PhD in 2018 at the College of Arts, Humanities and Education, University of Derby, United Kingdom, where he conducted research into vernacular photography and its appropriation in contemporary art. He teaches Photography within the programmes of the Escola Superior de Media, Artes e Design (Politécnico do Porto), in Vila do Conde.

Hélder Luís
Mariana Sardon
Multidisciplinary artist. She holds a degree in Multimedia Communication Technologies (ESMAE – Porto, 2013) and a Master’s degree in Multimedia, specialising in Interactive Music and Sound Design (FEUP – Porto, 2017). Her work unfolds through performance and/or installation, taking as its starting point the sonic objects — electronic or electroacoustic — she has been developing. She is interested in sound and image archives, with a particular focus on the technical processes through which they are recorded. In recent years, she has collaborated with other artists, developing projects in the context of artistic residencies. She also leads workshops dedicated to the construction of electronic instruments and the creation of sound loops using magnetic tape.

Miguel Pipa
Poet, musician and visual artist, he creates a universe in which words, sound and drawing coexist between tension and harmony. Working outside academic structures, he explores error, improvisation and philosophy as vital forces. In his work, the gesture of drawing approaches writing, while sonic experimentation emerges as a form of existence. He creates imaginary territories in which the natural and the artificial contaminate and continually regenerate one another. At once poetic and performative, his practice asserts itself as an exercise in freedom and listening.

Hélder Luís
Designer, multimedia artist, photographer and musician. He studied Graphic Design and Typography and, since 1996, has developed projects for a range of companies and institutions in Portugal and abroad. He has presented both individual and collaborative works in different contexts, while maintaining an ongoing practice in music composition and publishing. Since 2018, he has focused on exploring maritime culture as a documentary photographer and multimedia artist. Through photography, installation and book publishing, he investigates the relationship between coastal communities and the sea, documenting traditional practices, cultural transformations and collective memories. His work has been regularly presented in exhibitions throughout Portugal, establishing itself as a contemporary reflection on the country’s maritime heritage. In 2021, he completed a Master’s degree in Documentary Photography and Cinema and, in 2026, a postgraduate degree in Museology.
